Musky (Muskie)

MASKINONGE (MUSKELLUNGE) -There is nothing tougher or meaner that swims than the mighty Muskie. He's the fightin'est fish that ever lunged at a sucker, His favourite food.

A Muskie is cunning, malicious and resourceful. He will follow the bait to the boat dozens of times before making up his mind to strike.

You'll get the most fun Muskie fishing by casting with a fast retrieve, but trolling catches a lot of fish. The Muskie goes for big plugs, spoons, buck-tail spinners and live bait, such as chub or suckers. You can't mistake a Muskie when you get one. His colouration consists of a barred pattern on a light background. He has a large vicious mouth, well supplied with teeth. Caution: When you land a Muskie watch out for those teeth. They can give you a bad wound.
