Smallmouth Bass

SMALLMOUTH BASS -Always ready for a scrap at the drop of a lure, the Smallmouth is a bulldog for action. He's most active in early summer and fall. You can get him fly casting, spin casting and bait casting, on a variety of artificial lures and with live bait. His home is in clear, cool water, in holes shadowed by steep rocks, along stumpy, rocky and gravelly shorelines.

In appearance, he is golden bronze-green in colour, with dark vertical  bronze markings along the sides. The average size is about 1   to 2 pounds.
